The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of progressive experience performing a variety of close and fixed covert and covert/overt surveillance related investigations and other related tasks such as service of process and activity checks.  This position is ideal for semi-retired law enforcement and insurance professionals; however, we are willing to train applicants that naturally possess the core competencies required for this position.

Requirements:

1. Must be available to travel and work irregular hours including nights, evenings, weekends and holidays;
2. Must provide a clean criminal record & driver abstract;
3. Must have access to your own late model vehicle;
4. Must have impeccable report writing and notation skills.
5. Detailed working knowledge of the Personal Information and Electronic Documents Act is an asset;
6. Knowledge of the concepts, principles, theories, techniques and practices associated with investigations is an asset;
7. Knowledge of court procedures and legal proceedings and of practices related to the procurement, preservation, and presentation of evidence is an asset;
8. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, audit techniques, procedures and practices and the ability to analyze and interpret financial records and complex transactions from a wide variety individuals and businesses is an asset;
9. Knowledge of interviewing and interrogation methods, techniques and practices at an advanced level is required to deal effectively, exchange, and obtain critical information;
10. Knowledge of the methods and techniques involved in the review of legal documents, legislation, policies and court decisions;
11. Knowledge of computer systems and associated software to perform daily work activities in order to manipulate and retrieve data, create reports, presentations, correspondence, and to exchange information electronically.
